News - New Accounting Cadetship
We are excited to offer a new Accounting Cadetship role at Selby Watson & Co.
This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative and friendly environment as you learn, grow and contribute to the firm’s continued success.
The role is for an aspiring Accountant willing to support our team, whilst receiving ongoing training and mentoring from our experienced partners and managers.
Our busy office will suit an organised and tech-savvy person looking to continue or begin their accounting career. And to make sure we find the right fit for us, the position can be tailored to your availability, be it part-time or even full-time if suitable.
What you’ll be doing (to start with)
- Learning how an accounting business operates
- Learning how to prepare tax returns, financial statements and Business Activity Statements
- Supporting other members of the team with day-to-day compliance tasks
- Developing the skills to engage with clients
Is this you?
- An interest in the Accounting Industry and a drive to further your knowledge and/or qualifications
- Excellent attention to detail
- Willingness to engage with our team and clients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
- Strong IT skills
- Energetic, and a sense of humour
